Ref. 18238 is made exclusively of 18-karat yellow gold. As with all Day-Date models, the watch shows the date in a window at 3 o'clock and the day of the week in a curved window at 12 o'clock. The most distinguishing feature is the introduction of the in-house Rolex caliber 3155 movement (double quickset). It allows the wearer to set both the day and date independently and quickly via the crown. The case measures 36mm. The watch comes on the President strap.

This watch dates from 1994 and comes with the original box and documentation from Rolex.
