Saffiano leather is a full-grain calf leather. It has a very distinctive texture that was designed, developed and patented by Mario Prada in 1913. Prada successfully used this leather to produce an iconic line of signature bags. After the patent expired, the leather was widely adopted and used by luxury brands around the world.
