Saffiano leather is a full-grain calf leather. It has a very distinctive texture that was designed, developed and patented by Mario Prada in 1913. Prada successfully used this leather to produce an iconic line of signature bags. After the patent expired, the leather was widely adopted and used by luxury brands around the world. The leather in super resilient and easy to clean. It is virtually scratch resistant and the ideal leather for belts. Saffiano straps soften over time but retain their shape and color.
