A rare Baignoire by Cartier, one of the few that is also suitable to be worn by men.

L'Ovale Cintré, the curved oval wristwatch, first appeared in 1958 and was renamed Baignoire (which translates from French to bathtub) in 1973.

18K rose gold oval watch case with a smooth finish. The dimensions of the case: 34.5x44mm. The watch has a beautiful silver guilloché dial with large painted black Roman hour markers and blued steel hands. The case is protected by a curved sapphire crystal. Most Baignoire models come with a quartz movement. This model not only features a mechanical movement, it is also the only series with a transparent back showing the beautiful Cartier 430MC internal movement. This reference (3033) was made only very briefly and in limited numbers. The watch is in very good condition and comes with the original brown alligator strap with 18K rose gold buckle.
