The Tank Américaine was introduced in 1989 to add a larger Tank to the already established Tank collection. Reference 1741 was the largest variant of the Tank Américaine collection at the time. The 18K white gold case measures 22x45mm and is curved at the front with a fairly flat back. This watch has an off-white dial (with a slight patina) with the hidden Cartier signature in the VII numeral and a date function. The classic Cartier blue steel hands, including a central seconds hand, play perfectly against the signature sapphire blue cabochon. This Tank Américaine operates on an automatic movement. The watch comes on a new leather strap fitted with a white gold Cartier buckle.
