Ref. 17002 is one of the most sought-after vintage Tanks among collectors. This model was produced in the 1970s and differs from the standard Tank Louis in a few crucial ways. Measuring 28 x 35 mm, it is considerably larger. It is also the only vintage Tank Louis model equipped with an automatic movement. Because an automatic movement is thicker than a manual-winding movement, this reference has a unique, domed case back ("bubble back"). The other features are typical of a Tank Louis: white dial with black Roman hour markers, blued steel sword hands, and a sapphire crown.
