Introduction
Alain Dominique Perrin (Cartier) launched the "Must" watch collection in 1977, as a marketing strategy. The Tank Must featured a silver case with a (Gilt) gold (Vermeil) coating. There were 14 models available over the years in 4 different sizes. Characteristic were the different color dials and different designs. The Must watch collection was a great success worldwide, due to its price, quartz or hand-wound movement and wide variety of dials.
