History

The original Omega Speedmaster reference CK2998 was introduced by Omega in 1959 and is one of the most popular vintage Speedmasters. The CK2998 is the first Omega Speedmaster in "space" because worn by astronaut Wally Schirra in 1962. Omega released the CK2998 as a limited edition model in 2016, limited to 2,998 pieces.

Features

Steel watch case (39mm). Blue bezel with tachymetric scale. Sapphire glass. Hand-winding chronograph movement cal. 1861. Functions: chronograph with 30-minute & 12-hour registers, small second, central chronograph hand. Fitted with an Omega leather strap.
