Features

The legendary Nautilus line began in 1976 with the iconic reference 3700, nicknamed "Jumbo" for its imposing size for the time. Created by the also legendary Gerald Genta, it is considered one of his best and most timeless designs. The reference 3700/1 is part of the first series produced from 1976 to 1982. Steel/gold models were made much less than the steel ones, making this a rarer model.

The iconic octagonal case is finished in stainless steel and measures 42 mm. The bezel is finished in 18K yellow gold. The watch has a beautiful anthracite-gray dial with a horizontal relief pattern and applied 18K yellow gold baton markers and hands with Tritium lume. This is the earliest dial configuration with the dot markings for the minutes track. The ref. 3700 is powered by the ultra-thin automatic movement caliber 28-255C, which ensures that the watch maintains a slim profile. The watch features the familiar integrated stainless steel & 18K yellow gold Nautilus strap with sturdy folding clasp.

This watch dates from 1981 and comes with the extract from the PP archives and a deluxe box from our store.
