Ref. 116610LN bracht de Submariner naar het moderne tijdperk door de introductie van de Cerachrom Bezel (extreem krasbestendig keramiek), de Super Case (dikkere kastprofielen en lugs) en de Maxi Dial (grotere markeringen). De roestvrijstalen Oyster-band is voorzien van een uiterst functioncioneel Glidelock verlengsysteem in de sluiting. Het horloge wordt aangedreven door automatisch Rolex caliber 3135.
