The Cartier Tank Basculate is a beloved model within the iconic Tank line, known for its reversible case. It was released in 1932, a time when gentlemen needed a watch that could be protected during pursuits such as polo and tennis. The Tank Basculante's tilt function is very similar to that of Jaeger-LeCoultre's Reverso, released just a year earlier. This ref. 2386 is a beautiful version and has a stainless steel case measuring 22 x 32.5 mm. The anthracite gray dial with white painted Arabic numerals is very elegant and the blue sapphire cabochon crown is located on top of the case! The watch runs on a quartz movement and has a leather strap with Cartier folding clasp.
