De referentie 16523 werd geproduceerd van 1988 tot 2000 en markeerde een revolutie in de Daytona-lijn. Het was de eerste automatische Daytona, na decennia van handopgewonden modellen. Het kaliber 4030 is gebaseerd op het legendarische Zenith El Primero uurwerk. Ref. 16523 is een Rolesor – de combinatie van roestvrij staal en 18-karaats geelgoud. De kast meet 40mm. De goudkleurige wijzerplaat heeft drie contrasterende subdials. Het horloge wordt geleverd met een staal/gouden Oyster- band.
