Reference 116600 combines modern features (ceramic bezel, Glidelock clasp, robust Oyster bracelet) with the classic 40mm case. The watch features a matte black dial with blue Chromalight hour markers. It is powered by a Rolex Caliber 3135 automatic movement. After only three years (2014–2017), the model was replaced by a larger 43mm Sea-Dweller, Ref. 126600. Due to its short production run, relatively few examples of the 116600 were produced.

This watch dates from 2015 and comes with the original Rolex box and documentation.
